1: "Tell me about yourself"
I love working in fast-paced (busy? bustling?) environments, like that of *insert name of restaurant you're applying to here*. I find being a server an enjoyable way to interact with people. My past experiences with restaurant life have been very positive.
2: "Tell me something bad you've heard about our company"
I haven't heard anything bad about it.
3: "Why should I hire you?"
I have a good reputation with all my previous employers and customers. I have experience as a full time server and experience training other servers. I'm happy in this field of work, and a happy server can make for happy customers.
4. "Where do you see yourself in five years?"
I can see myself still working here, supporting myself through University.
5. "How would you react if I told you your interview so far was terrible?"
I would ask for reasons why it could be considered terrible.
6. "Can you work under pressure?"
Yes.. for example, when customers became angry about menu items being out of stock, I found a resolution in apologizing for the desired item being out of stock then recommending a similar item.
7. "What kind of salary are you looking for?"
over 9000.
8. "Why are you looking for a new job/why did you leave your last job?"
I quit my last job to polish off my high school courses. Now that those are done, I want to get back into the workforce.
9. "Why did you apply here?"
I've heard only good things about this job, and it seems like my ideal work environment.
